Cathay Pacific has introduced its first-ever non-stop flights from Hong Kong to Munich, strengthening its European network.
The new route, launched this week, marks a significant milestone for the airline, connecting its home hub to the vibrant Bavarian capital.
The addition comes hot on the heels of Cathay Pacific’s seasonal Rome service, which began on June 5, and precedes the eagerly awaited return of flights to Brussels on August 3.
With these developments, Cathay Pacific is expanding its reach, offering nearly 100 weekly return flights to Europe this summer.

Cathay Pacific Group Network Expansion
Together with its low-cost sister airline, HK Express, Cathay Pacific is enhancing global connectivity. The Cathay Group now serves 100 passenger destinations worldwide, giving travelers more options and seamless connections.
In 2025, the group plans to add 18 new destinations to its combined network, with more exciting announcements expected soon.
This month alone, Cathay Pacific expanded its presence in Europe, launching flights to Rome and Munich.
On the regional front, subsidiary carrier HK Express introduced services to Cheongju and Daegu. Miyako (Shimojishima) in Japan’s Okinawa prefecture is set to follow next week.

“This direct connection links Hong Kong with a major European hub known for its economy, manufacturing, and transport. Travelers can immerse themselves in Munich’s rich culture, art, and innovation or connect to other European cities through our codeshare partners.”
For passengers traveling to Hong Kong, the Cathay Group’s extensive network offers access to 100 global destinations.
This reinforces Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub, connecting mainland China to the world. “Our focus remains on expanding flights and destinations while ensuring a smooth, enjoyable journey for our customers,” Lau added.

This robust schedule caters to both leisure and business travelers, providing flexibility and convenience during the busy summer season.
