Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump seemed to have rekindled their bromance after the tech billionaire was spotted at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday.
In a video posted on X, Musk was seen walking closely behind the U.S. president and first lady, Melania Trump, at a dinner at Trump’s Palm Beach residence.
The dinner comes after the United States announced it had conducted a large-scale military attack on Venezuela.
Shortly after the White House announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, Musk tweeted his congratulations to Trump, adding “This is a win for the world and a clear message to evil dictators everywhere.”
Spectacular falling out last year
The world’s richest man and the U.S. head of state had a spectacular falling out last year sparked by the White House’s massive spending bill, which Musk had called “utterly insane and destructive.”
In a post on X, Musk had criticized the One Big Beautiful Bill, tweeting, “It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion” and “burden” Americans with “crushingly unsustainable debt.”
Trump claimed Musk was “upset” because the bill cancelled tax credits and mandates for electric vehicles.

But relations between the two appeared to have thawed recently as Musk, a former trusted advisor of Trump, was spotted sitting next to the U.S. president at a memorial event for right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk in September.
Now, months after Musk’s exit from the Department of Government Efficiency, the Tesla CEO has turned his attention back to supporting the Republican Party.
“America is toast if the radical left wins,” Musk wrote on X last week. “They will open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud. Won’t be America anymore.”
The tweet came a month after an Axios report said the tech billionaire had begun cutting “big cheques” for congressional Republicans following a reconciliation dinner with Vice-President JD Vance.
