A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed.
Police were called after a 29-year-old man was attacked on Monarch Road in Northampton on Wednesday between 18:30 and 18:45 GMT.
The teenager, who can’t be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged, and will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Several others were arrested including a 19-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder who remained in police custody.
A 56-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on bail pending further inquiries.
A 22-year-old Northampton woman, also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the assault, was released on bail pending further inquiries on Friday.
Police continue to appeal for witnesses and information.
