Newly surfaced set photos from ongoing production in New York confirm a major villain’s return in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Although Marvel has not officially announced the casting, the images have fueled widespread speculation about Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye taking on a larger role after his dramatic escape from prison in Season 1.

Set photos seem to have confirmed Bethel’s presence on set in New York, wearing casual clothes, as captured in posts dated April 9, 2025.
An X (formerly Twitter) user shared, “WILSON BETHEL JUST ARRIVED IN HIS CASUAL A– CLOTHES. #DaredevilBornAgain.”
In Season 1, Episode 8, Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter escaped prison during a violent breakout, using his own tooth as a weapon. But the above set photo possibly confirms he will survive the forthcoming finale and will be back in Season 2.
Bethel’s return indicates a shift in the show’s creative direction. Earlier versions of the storyline did not seem to include plans for Bullseye to return or face off with Matt Murdock again. In the updated narrative, Bullseye appears to be set up as a key antagonist in the upcoming season.
Speaking about the time jump, Bethel had earlier stated, “The show doesn’t pick up the day after we last saw it. It picks up five years later,” adding, “Whether or not even those stories are necessarily on screen… there’s just that little extra bit of life in there.”
In Born Again Season 1, authorities move Dex to the general population prison. He seems to have provoked Matt into knocking out his tooth, then used it to escape from prison. During the confrontation, Dex claimed he could only reveal who hired him from outside prison and thanked Matt after the blow. After escaping, he attempted to assassinate Mayor Fisk at a gala, but Daredevil intercepted the attack and took the bullet.
The new season resumes production while Season 1 nears conclusion. The series stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Genneya Walton, and Michael Gandolfini, with Dario Scardapane serving as showrunner.
