BodyArmor launches hydration powder | Food Business News

WHITESTONE, NY. — BodyArmor Sports Nutrition, a Coca-Cola Co. brand, is exploring a new hydration format with the debut of Flash I.V. Hydration Boosters.

The single-serve powder sticks provide a boost of energy with more than 2,200 mgs of electrolytes, along with immune system benefits from zinc and vitamins B and C. One Hydration Booster stick has 15 or less calories, no sugar and no artificial flavors or sweeteners. The product is launching initially in flavors like tropical punch, cucumber lime, grape, strawberry kiwi and lemon lime.

“At BodyArmor, we’re always listening to our consumers and looking for new, innovative ways to provide them with the best in hydration,” said Sabrina Niland, chief of staff and vice president of innovation and strategy. “We’ve seen how prominent hydration boosters have become within the beverage space, so we couldn’t be more excited to get our BodyArmor Flash I.V. Hydration Boosters into market and see the impact it’s going to have for anyone looking for customizable, on-the-go hydration with zero sugar.”

BodyArmor’s Hydration Boosters are rolling out this month into retailers nationwide, and online through Amazon, in 6-count and 15-count packages.

The launch follows the debut of the Flash I.V. rapid rehydration line in June and comes as part of Coca-Cola’s focus on product innovations for the BodyArmor brand.
