The reality competition series Beast Games debuted on Prime Video on December 19, 2024. It has 10 episodes and is slated to conclude on February 13, 2025. Although the series received poor reviews from critics, it has become one of the most viewed shows released on Prime Video. The streaming service hasn’t officially renewed the show for the sophomore season, but Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, currently the most subscribed YouTuber and co-creator of Beast Games, is convinced that Seasons 2 of the series will happen.
MrBeast is 100% sure Beast Games Season 2 will happen
MrBeast said during his appearance on The Colin and Samir Show that he was certain that Beast Games Season 2 would be developed. When asked whether Seasons 2 and 3 were happening, MrBeast responded, “I was told not to talk about [the potential future seasons of the show], but the thing is I loved what we did with Beast Games. I’m doing it. I loved working with Prime Video so I’m sure we’re going to do it with them.” He said that he was 100% sure that the concept of Beast Games would continue. MrBeast added, “There’s no way where I’m not.”
The social media celebrity was then asked whether he would do the show with a thousand contestants again or have even more participants. Laughing, MrBeast admitted, “It was a lot. I see why no one has ever done a thousand.”
Earlier in the interview, MrBeast spoke about how he decided to release the episodes of the show on a weekly basis rather than in bulk. “That was a rough decision to make. I think weekly is the correct play, especially for us because these episodes are so grand and big, I feel like you almost need time afterward to digest the volume of stuff that happened.” He noted that releasing the episodes weekly allowed the viewers to discuss among themselves and made the “viewing experience way more fun.” However, he didn’t rule out the prospects of releasing the second season in bulk.
Notably, the first couple of episodes of Beast Games debuted together. The following episodes are coming out on Thursdays.
