Shot-stopper Szczęsny is currently in the midst of his 2nd term in Barcelona colours, after coming out of retirement to aid the Blaugrana amid a crisis between the posts back in 2024.
Sitting behind the spectacular Joan GarcÃa in the shot-stopper pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad, though, the former Arsenal man has been forced to make do with just nine starts thus far in 2025/26.
But as alluded to above, as much does not appear to have dampened Szczęsny’s spirits…

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, in fact:
‘Despite receiving a two-year offer from one of the top La Liga teams to be their first-choice goalkeeper, the Polish goalkeeper rejected it because he prioritises staying at Barça, even knowing that he will continue to have a secondary role.’
