The debut of Joan Garcia with the senior Spain national football team will have to wait. After receiving his first call-up, the FC Barcelona goalkeeper has been left out of the squad by Luis de la Fuente for tonight’s match against Serbia national football team.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper will be present at Estadio de La Ceramica alongside his new teammates, but will have to watch the match from the stands.

The Spanish head coach was required to omit one player after naming a 27-man squad, which unusually included four goalkeepers, something that differs from De la Fuente’s usual selections.
As a result, Unai Simon, David Raya and Alex Remiro, a target for Barcelona, will be the three goalkeepers available for the friendly against Serbia.
Joan Garcia will now have to wait for his opportunity to make his debut for the senior national team, which could come next Tuesday, when Spain face Egypt national football team in a friendly at the RCDE Stadium.
It would see the goalkeeper make his debut at the home of his former club, RCD Espanyol, where he had already received a hostile reception while playing for Barcelona in La Liga earlier this season.
