La Liga giants Barcelona are close to tying up a deal for Norwich City prodigy Ajay Tavares.
This comes amid the understanding that the Englishman is ready to swap his home country for Catalunya’s capital in January.
The name of youngster Tavares has emerged as a prominent one across the European media over the last 24 hours.
As much comes after word was forthcoming that the winger’s performances at both club and international level had piqued the attentions of Barcelona.
Tavares, for his part, is a versatile 15-year-old attacker, who, despite his tender years, is already an U17 international with England and U18 regular for Norwich City.
His explosive abilities have long had several English clubs on alert, but if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Tavares in fact looks bound for La Liga.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘As ‘Mundo Deportivo’ has advanced, SPORT has been able to confirm that Barça are very close to closing his signing.’
Tavares boasts a European passport, which means he will be free to pen terms with the Blaugrana upon turning 16 later this month.
