Barcelona enquire about Fisnik Asllani

Barcelona have made an enquiry about Hoffenheim and Kosovo forward Fisnik Asllani (23).

“Barcelona’s interest in the player is valid at this moment, and there has been contact from the Catalan club,” confirmed Ayman Dahmani, the player’s representative.

Asllani has been on Hoffenheim’s books since 2020, but spent 2023/24 on loan at Austria Wien before spending last campaign on loan at 2. Bundesliga side Elversberg, where he plundered 18 goals in 33 appearances as the German-minnows booked their place in the promotion/relegation play-off.

Upon his return to Hoffenheim, the 23-year-old has scored eight times in Germany’s top flight across 26 appearances as the Sinsheim club aim to secure UEFA Champions League football. The Kosovan’s performances has attracted interest from Europe’s elite, including fellow Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, although Barcelona appear to be leading the race to secure his signature.

However in doing so, they will likely have to pay Asllani’s reported €30m exit clause.
