Banijay Media Germany Partners with Football Entertainment Creator Diyar Acar

Media and entertainment powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today confirms Banijay Media Germany (part of Banijay Germany) has entered a long-term partnership with football entertainment creator Diyar Acar. The collaboration will focus on the strategic development of Acar’s cross-platform format brands, marketing efforts, and local and international distribution.

A branded entertainment unit within Banijay Germany, Banijay Media Germany links creator-driven formats with the wider company’s production, distribution, and IP expertise, aligning with brands to realise commercially successful entertainment projects. The partnership complements Banijay Entertainment’s ongoing activities in the digital landscape from the launch of FCF, a creator-led football team in the Netherlands, to its ongoing management of standout, talent-led YouTube channels for the likes of Mr Bean, Jimmy Carr, and its recent extension of major superbrands – MasterChef Creators and Big Brother: Knossi Edition. It also aligns with the company’s growing efforts in sports and branded entertainment following the launches of divisions Banijay Sports and Banijay Branded Entertainment (BBE).

With over 480,000 YouTube subscribers, more than 200 million views, and a cross-platform community of over two million followers, Acar’s content combines sporting competition with high production quality and strong community engagement. He is one of Germany’s leading figures in digital sportainment, having established a unique universe of content with formats such as Find the Pro and Road to Pro, alongside events featuring stars like Ronaldinho, Lothar Matthäus, Alphonso Davies, Emre Can, and Nico Schlotterbeck.

Diyar Acar, Creator and Entrepreneur comments: “The partnership with Banijay Media Germany is an important milestone for me. From the very beginning, I developed my formats with the ambition of creating independent entertainment brands. And now I will be working with a team that has built large entertainment projects and can strategically develop my content. Together, we want to reconnect sports and entertainment.”

Christian Nienaber, Managing Director of Banijay Media Germany says: “Diyar represents a new generation of sportainment – with a clear format identity, high production values, and exceptional community engagement. We see enormous potential in strategically expanding his existing IP, jointly developing new formats, and sustainably elevating brand integrations to a new level.”

Pascal Ruhe-Kramer, Manager of Diyar Acar adds: “Diyar’s formats were born out of a genuine passion for football and entertainment. With Banijay Media Germany, we want to scale these ideas through a shared passion for content, quality, and a longevity.”

Banijay Media Germany creates brand experiences and develops digital entertainment formats that reach target audiences where they engage with content. Working closely with producers across the Banijay Germany network, it develops cross-platform content that goes far beyond traditional advertising. Recent projects include the marketing of the new Stromberg feature film, the development of the mockumentary for the McDonald’s Monopoly campaign, branded entertainment formats like Big Brother: Knossi Edition and MISSION UNKNOWN: Atlantic, and digital and cross-media campaigns such as the TV total WOK World Championship with FRoSTA & ALDI SPORTS, and the Beat the Star campaign with Lufthansa. It also operates myspass, Germany’s largest comedy and light entertainment network with over 20 million subscribers and up to 250 million monthly views.
