Dancenorth Australia will stage two performances of Wayfinder in Hong Kong next month, marking the first time the show is presented outside of Australia.
Combining dance, music and visual art, Wayfinder incorporates interactive elements, including 100 light and sound-emitting pearls that are distributed around the auditorium, immersing the entire audience in the show’s audio-visual experience.
Additionally, the whole work is woven together using rainbow-colored cords that connect performers, stage scenery and props, and which were made by volunteers using second-hand wool yarns.
Wayfinder will be staged at 8pm on September 9 and at 4pm on September 10 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall. Tickets are available via URBTIX.
The programme’s extended activities include a meet-the-artists session after the first performance on September 9 and a backstage guided tour at 2.15pm on September 10. Online registration is required and bookings will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
