All seasons of Bryan Cranston’s legal drama series will be making their way out of Netflix’s content library next month. It follows a judge who tries to save his son after he gets involved in a hit-and-run accident.
Your Honor leaves Netflix in May
Netflix subscribers won’t be able to stream Your Honor Seasons 1-2 on the platform from Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The series is the official adaptation of the 2017 Israeli TV series titled Kvodo, which is the Hebrew translation of Your Honor. Meanwhile, Peter Moffat developed the English remake for the Showtime network. He is known for creating the popular British series, Criminal Justice, which was later adapted into HBO’s critically acclaimed mini-series, The Night Of.
The story centers on Michael Desiato, a respected judge in New Orleans. His life spirals out of control when his son, Adam, kills a person in a hit-and-run. To make things worse, the victim turns out to be the son of a dangerous crime boss, Jimmy Baxter. When Michael learns who the victim was, he panics and decides to cover up the crime to protect his Adam.
In Your Honor Season 2, the story deepens as Michael teams up with authorities and goes undercover to bring down Jimmy and uncover the truth about his wife’s death.
The show’s cast features Bryan Cranston as Michael, Hunter Doohan as Adam, Michael Stuhlbarg as Jimmy, Hope Davis as Gina, Sofia Black-D’Elia as Frannie, Margo Martindale as Elizabeth, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. as Charlie, among others.
After the success of the Israeli series, CBS Studios reportedly announced to adapt it for Showtime in August 2017. However, the show began production in September 2019 but halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series eventually aired the following year on December 6, 2020. The series finale, titled “Part Twenty,” aired on March 19, 2023.
Despite receiving praise for Trumbo’s star performance, Your Honor struggled to meet viewers’ expectations. It resulted in low ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, earning 49% critic score for both seasons. Meanwhile, the audience rated it 67%.
