An early 2000s comedy film starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson will no longer be on Netflix‘s catalog after a few weeks. Anger Management is one of numerous movies departing the streaming service next month. The departure is the result of the streaming giant’s constant efforts to update its catalog on account of ever-changing licensing agreements.

Anger Management leaves Netflix in March

Anger Management is reportedly leaving Netflix on March 1, 2026. It will leave along with multiple films like Bad Teacher, Brightburn, and The Amazing Spider-Man films (via What’s on Netflix). Accordingly, subscribers have 10 days to see the film before its scheduled departure.

Following its release on April 11, 2003, the film grossed an estimated $195 million at the box office against a production budget of $75 million.

The film holds a mediocre 42% critical and 59% audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, on Metacritic, the film has a Metascore of 52 and a user score of 6.1. The former points to “mixed or average” perception, while the latter denotes “generally favorable” perception.

Anger Management’s story follows Dave Buznik, a secretary with lingering bullying trauma, who works for a mean businessman. His trauma, stemming from a humiliating incident in his childhood, prevents him from publicly showing affection to his girlfriend. After he shows frustration with a flight attendant who ignores him on a plane by screaming at her, he is arrested and sentenced to an anger management program headed by therapist Dr. Buddy Rydell, whom he realizes is an unconventional therapist. Rydell puts Buznik through a series of strange situations to boost his confidence.

Peter Segal directed the film from David S. Dorfman’s screenplay. Meanwhile, Barry Bernardi co-produced the film with Jack Giarraputo. Adam Sandler executive-produced the film with Allen Covert, Todd Garner, Tim Herlihy, and John Jacobs.

Sandler and Jack Nicholson lead the film’s cast as Buznik and Rydell, respectively. The supporting cast includes Marisa Tomei, Luis Guzmán, Covert, Lynne Thigpen, Kurt Fuller, Jonathan Loughran, Krista Allen, January Jones, John Turturro, and Woody Harrelson, among others.

The film was followed by an FX television series of the same name. Starring Charlie Sheen, it aired for two seasons before its cancellation.
