The Hong Kong chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACCHK) hosted a seminar on the evolving regulatory landscape for listed companies and virtual assets, in collaboration with Stephenson Harwood at the firm’s Hong Kong office in Quarry Bay.
The event, titled New Year Outlook: Comprehensive Insights into Listed Companies and Virtual Assets – Disclosure, Licensing and Regulatory Investigations, brought together legal and fintech professionals, offering practical insights into disclosure, licensing and enforcement developments for the year ahead.
Opening remarks were delivered by Iris Deng of the ACCHK, followed by presentations from Stephenson Harwood partners Katherine Liu, Danny Kan and Alexander Tang.
Speakers highlighted how Hong Kong’s virtual asset regulatory framework is entering a new phase, with clearer rules on licensing, custody, stablecoins and platform operations.
The session also explored how companies engaging in digital asset activities face heightened expectations around disclosure, governance and transparency.
