The Boys‘ official social media account has dropped a video featuring A-Train spilling the beans about Vought, Homelander, and their unethical practices. The footage comes after the character wrapped up his redemption arc, first established in The Boys Season 4, in the Season 5 premiere episode.

A-Train sacrifices his life to save Hughie from Homelander’s wrath. This results in his death when the latter brutally snaps his neck.
A-Train talks about Homelander and Vought in video after The Boys Season 5 death
The Boys’ social media account posted a new video with A-Train. In it, he gets emotional as he touches upon Vought’s depravity and his complicity in their actions.
He starts the footage on a cheerful note, teasing viewers by asking them if they missed him. The former member of The Seven then mocks Vought’s propensity to cover up their amorality. He points out how they lied to the public that he had gone on an overseas mission and essentially hid the fact that he had defected.
“I’m done spewing their nonsense,” he adds in a frustrated tone before calling out Vought for trying to maintain their clean image. “For the first time, A-Train’s gonna hit you with some truth,” he declares. He subsequently reveals his real name, Reggie Franklin, expressing his wish for people to remember him as that person.
He emphasizes that his Supe persona was Vought’s creation, labeling it, “some shell of a man, shilled, s–t for the devil.” He further states that his last words are going to mean something. A-Train tells viewers that he wants them to know the real figure behind the speedster persona.
Briefly smiling weakly before continuing, he says as his voice breaks, “I just want my nephews to know that when the going got tough… Their uncle got tougher.” Acknowledging how his past selfishness and immorality will stick with him by saying he can never claim not to have done anything bad, he promises that the last thing he does will be good.
He proceeds to further insult Vought, deeming them “a cancer” that has covered up numerous crimes. A-Train admits his past complicity in them, saying he embodied the role scripted for him by Homelander and Vought. Despite sharing his understanding that his apologies will not mean anything, he nonetheless offers one sincerely.
“I wish I was the guy that you thought I was the whole time,” he concludes. “But hey, you know, if you’re watching this, I tried.”
