Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices dominated AnTuTu in April

At the beginning of each month the folks behind the AnTuTu benchmark publish two charts for the previous month – one focuses on the best performing devices, the other on ‘flagship killers’, revealing which chipsets are at the top of their respective games.

The charts for April are now out, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 dominates the high-performance category, occupying the first four spots out of the top five, and seven out of the top 10. The other three are, of course, held by devices powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices dominate AnTuTu's April chart

The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is first with an average AnTuTu score throughout April of 2,120,210, followed by the iQOO 12 with 2,090,252, and the RedMagic 9 Pro+ with 2,080,678. The vivo X Fold3 Pro is fourth, followed by the vivo X100 Pro, iQOO 12 Pro, iQOO Neo9 Pro, Oppo Find X7 Ultra, vivo X100, and OnePlus 12. All of these phones score over 2 million points.

Moving over to the more affordable side, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 takes the first two spots, with the OnePlus Ace 3V in first and the Realme GT Neo6 SE in second. In third place is the Dimensity 8300-Ultra inside the Redmi K70E, followed by two models with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 – the Realme GT Neo5 SE and the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices dominate AnTuTu's April chart

From sixth to ninth place it’s all about the Dimensity 8200, powering the Oppo Reno11 5G, the iQOO Neo7 SE, the iQOO Z8, and the Redmi Note 12T Pro. Finally, the OnePlus Ace is in tenth with its Dimensity 8100-Max, even though this smartphone was launched back in 2022.

It’s important to note a few things about these charts. The score in them is the average of all the runs for each model, not the highest score, and only devices with over 1,000 benchmark runs can be shown. The configuration that appears in the charts is the one that scored highest, which may not necessarily be the highest configuration of every model. Finally, only the tests undertaken in China count.

Next month we should see the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 entering the ‘flagship killer’ chart, and it will be interesting to find out how it fares compared to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.
