Pirelli UK has partnered with Burton Albion Football Club and Burton & South Derbyshire College to support TyreSafe’s annual Tyre Safety Month, targeting both current motorists and the next generation of automotive technicians.
The campaign highlights TyreSafe’s 2026 core message, ‘ACT Before You REact’—an initiative encouraging drivers to inspect Air pressure, Condition, and Tread depth (ACT). First-team players and coaching staff from Burton Albion visited the flagship Burton Pirelli Performance Centre for a practical facility tour demonstrating the critical role proper tyre maintenance plays in vehicle safety.
Complementing its sports partnership, Pirelli is hosting educational sessions for Level 3 Motor Vehicle students at Burton & South Derbyshire College. These workshops cover practical tyre technology, maintenance protocols, and career pathways within the sector, reinforcing safety fundamentals for future industry professionals.
The initiative underscores Pirelli’s ongoing commitment to TyreSafe, an organisation it has supported since its inception. Earlier this year, Pirelli received a Special Recognition Award from TyreSafe for its dedication to UK manufacturing and safety education.
“Tyre Safety Month provides an important opportunity to remind motorists that a few minutes spent checking their tyres can make a significant difference to safety,” said Matt Bell, marketing director at Pirelli UK. “By working with our long-standing partner Burton Albion Football Club and supporting TyreSafe’s campaign, we can help reach new audiences with simple but important messages around tread depth, tyre condition and correct inflation pressures. We are also proud to continue engaging with Level 3 Motor Vehicle students, helping to support future talent entering our industry while reinforcing the importance of tyre safety from the very beginning of their careers and as they also get behind the wheel for the very first time as young drivers.”
