There is a moment in Hong Kong, somewhere between sunset and dinner, when the harbour becomes the centre of the city’s attention. The Star Ferry glides between the two shores, skyscrapers begin to light up and the waterfront takes on a different energy. Now imagine taking it all in with a glass of wine in hand, a plate of something delicious nearby and nowhere else you need to be.
That is the appeal of the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, returning from 29 October to 1 November 2026 at Central Harbourfront Event Space and Tamar Park. Over four days, the waterfront becomes a meeting point for global flavours, fine wines and Hong Kong’s dynamic culinary culture, all set against the unmistakable backdrop of Victoria Harbour. It is a distinctly Hong Kong experience, bringing together the city’s love of food, its international outlook and its knack for making a night out feel like an occasion.
Whether you arrive for the wine, the food or simply the atmosphere, the festival offers a chance to experience Hong Kong through its appetite for discovery. Here, a tasting can turn into an impromptu dinner, one stop can lead to another and the harbour is never far from view. As the city moves from day to night, the festival captures what makes dining in Hong Kong so compelling: a meeting of cultures, flavours and people, with the skyline as its ever-changing backdrop.

A Wine List With A Passport
Start with the pour. The festival’s international line-up spans France, with a special focus on Bordeaux, alongside China, Georgia, Italy, Spain and the UK. This year, Australia and South Korea join the mix with dedicated pavilions. Beyond wine, there are sparkling teas, low-alcohol craft beers, Asian wines and artisanal cocktails, making room for different tastes without anyone having to compromise on the evening.
For a closer look at what’s in the glass, the Grand Wine Pavilion brings together leading premium wine merchants for masterclasses and guided tastings led by master sommeliers and brand ambassadors. It’s an opportunity to look beyond the label and understand the region, the harvest and the choices that shape each bottle.

For Anyone Who Has Ever Frozen At A Wine List
You don’t need to be fluent in tannins to find your way around the festival. Guided by sommeliers and industry experts, three themed tours take visitors through the festival booths, sharing the stories behind select vintages and the principles of food pairing. Those who prefer to explore independently can turn to the ‘3-Colour Pairing Guide’, which groups the offerings into three categories: blue for Crisp & Snap, orange for Smooth & Mellow and purple for Rich & Bold.
It’s a simple, thoughtful way to take the guesswork out of wine. Forget the jargon; start with what you enjoy and let the colours lead the way.

What Goes With The Glass
The festival’s food offering is just as compelling. The AMEX Gourmet Club brings together Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels and neighbourhood favourites, serving everything from chef-led interpretations of local specialities to street food reimagined as limited-edition bites. It offers a taste of Hong Kong’s dining scene in one waterfront setting, bringing celebrated kitchens and much-loved local spots into the same space.
The Tasting Room takes a more intimate approach to gastronomy, with chef collaborations and dining experiences that put seasonality and craftsmanship first. Here, the focus is on the finer details of a meal, from the patience behind ageing ingredients to the care that goes into developing flavour.
For coffee lovers, Coffee Village brings together leading cafés, award-winning baristas and acclaimed roasters. Expect speciality brews, signature blends and coffee cocktails, with workshops and live music adding to the mix.
Stay For After Nine
The night is far from over. With doors open until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays, the festival takes on a different energy after dark. The After Nine Vibes programme brings live entertainment, harbour views and a glittering skyline together, while the Main Stage keeps the music going well into the night. From sunset conversations to late-night sets, there’s little reason to leave the festival grounds. Running from 29 October to 1 November 2026, tickets are selling fast. Book yours before they’re gone.

Make It A Month
If four days leave you wanting more, the food trail continues well beyond the festival. Running from 1 to 30 November, Hong Kong Gourmet Month brings a city-wide line-up of food and drink experiences celebrating its signature ‘Only in Hong Kong’ flavours. Hold on to your festival ticket stub for exclusive offers at participating venues, and use it as an excuse to keep exploring the city’s dining scene long after the festivities end.
