The latest installment of The Boys has no shortage of surprises, with Season 5 Episode 7 eliminating a core character. They have been around since the show’s premiere, playing a key role in most of the crucial storylines, making their death quite tragic. This has not been lost on fans, who have taken to social media to express their grief.

The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 kills off one of the OG heroes
The Boys Season 5’s penultimate entry, “The Frenchman, The Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk,” ends with Frenchie’s death.
In the episode, Kimiko agreed to participate in an experiment that could turn her into a weapon capable of stopping Homelander. She was exposed to enriched uranium radiation in a closed chamber for 30 seconds. Her skin burned as a result, and she became unconscious.
Frenchie and Sister Sage, who were with her, soon learned Homelander was approaching their base of operations. Realizing they were running out of time, they took Kimiko and ran to a room that had a container made of Zinc, which Homelander could not see through.
Kimiko woke up as Frenchie helped her and Sage hide in the container. The former tried to stop him, afraid for his life. However, the latter told her not to worry, as he would find another place to hide.
Homelander arrived looking for Sage, but failed to find them. He soon found Frenchie in the enriched uranium chamber, learning about his and The Boys’ experiment to recreate Soldier Boy’s powers to use against him. After insulting Homelander, Frenchie opened the box containing enriched uranium to weaken him, which also ended up weakening himself. Despite struggling, Homelander mortally wounded Frenchie.
After he left, Kimiko exited the zinc container and found the dying Frenchie. Following an emotional exchange, where he thanked her for saving him, he succumbed to his wounds, devastating her. Sage, Butcher, and Hughie later arrived and witnessed his death, which saddened them.
