Survivor host Jeff Probst‘s brother, Scott Probst, has died, according to a social media post shared by their brother, Brent Probst. Brent announced the news alongside a photo of Scott and a brief tribute. Scott’s death comes nearly two years after the death of their mother, Barb Probst.

Jeff Probst’s brother Brent took to Instagram to announce Scott’s death while sharing a photo and a short message in his honor. He wrote, “Some sad news, our brother Scott is no longer with us. He was a great brother, son and friend. I will miss him so much I’m so sad he is gone.” At the time of writing, a cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
Nearly two years ago, the Probst brothers lost their mother, Barb Probst, who was honored during an episode of Survivor Season 47. At the end of the episode, a tribute card read, “Dedicated to Barb, the biggest Survivor fan of all time. See you on our next adventure.”
Ahead of the tribute, Brent shared on Instagram that she died peacefully at home. He wrote, “She was the best mom, grandma and just a fantastic person full of love and life. For the last couple years, she had full-time care for dementia and died one week before her 86th birthday.”
He added, “She had a great life and I am certain that I am a good person because she and my dad raised me with love and humor. I will miss her every single day for the rest of my life.”
Scott Probst previously worked alongside his brother on Survivor. While Jeff Probst has hosted the reality series since 2000, Scott was credited on several episodes as an art assistant and camera assistant.
