$499 Million Horror Movie & More Prime Video Releases This Week

Amazon Prime Video’s TV and movie release schedule for April 13 to April 19, 2026, includes a popular horror film.

Directed by Michael Chaves, The Conjuring: Last Rites arrives on Amazon Prime Video on April 21. The supernatural horror film is the ninth chapter in The Conjuring franchise and is based on the Smurl haunting case. It focuses on paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren arriving in Pennsylvania to take on a new case. This time, they battle a demon in the Smurl household who is controlling three spirits to terrorize the family.

The film opened to mixed reviews but emerged as a commercial success. It grossed $499.2 million against a budget of $55 million, becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise. The star cast features Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, and Rebecca Calder, among others.

Also coming to Prime Video is Kevin (2026). The series follows a neurotic housecat named Kevin who shifts to a local pet rescue in Astoria after the breakup of his owners. Soon, a band of misfit animals tries to help him figure out his needs in life. The animated series features a voice cast comprising Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza, Aparna Nancherla, John Waters, Whoopi Goldberg, Gil Ozeri, and many others.
