In summary:
- Tech Advisor reports that Motorola’s upcoming Razr 70 Ultra appears to offer minimal upgrades from its predecessor, similar to Google’s incremental Pixel 10a approach.
- The device maintains identical dimensions, display sizes, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and 50Mp camera system, with only a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery as a notable change.
- Motorola is simultaneously preparing the Edge 70 Pro with enhanced low-light photography capabilities, suggesting a broader smartphone refresh strategy.
More details concerning Motorola’s foldable phone plans have emerged in the form of leaked images and specs, and it’s not particularly good news on the Razr 70 Ultra front.
Following on from leaked design renders for the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra (AKA the Razr Ultra 2026 in the US) last week, Android Headlines claims to have learned some of the foldable phone’s specifications.
The key takeaway here is that there seems to have been little advance from last year’s Motorola Razr 60 Ultra. That starts with almost identical dimensions of 171.48 x 73.99 x 7.19mm when open.
It’ll also weigh the same 199g as before, despite the 5,000mAh battery actually being a fraction larger. Wired charging will once again extend to 68W.

That similarity applies to both of the Razr 70 Ultra’s displays, too, with a 4-inch 1272 x 1080 cover display and a 7-inch 2992 x 1224 internal screen.
According to the source, the Razr 70 Ultra will use exactly the same Snapdragon 8 Elite processor as the Razr 60 Ultra before it. That’s almost certainly the RAM component pricing crisis at play. There’ll be 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, apparently.
Sticking to the theme, we learn that the Razr 70 Ultra’s triple camera system will be exactly the same all-50Mp affair as before.
All in all, we’re getting distinct Google Pixel 10a vibes from theses Razr 70 Ultra leaks so far. It’s looking barely any different from its predecessor.
Motorola Razr 70 design
Elsewhere on the internet, reliable tipster Evan Blass has posted some official-looking renders of the regular Motorola Razr 70.
You’ll doubtless be startled to learn that it looks a lot like the Razr 60, though Motorola’s continued use of vibrant Pantone colours and tactile materials is still in evidence.
All four colours featured here (turquoise, dark grey, off-white, and pale pink) come with their own distinct material finish and signature pattern.
Motorola has also commenced a campaign of teasers for its non-bendy Edge 70 Pro, with a bunch of press materials published to Flipkart in India.
We see flashes of the handset, together with the slogan “seize the night” and “make the moon your spotlight”. Low light photography looks set to be a major focus here.
It’s all adding up to the likelihood of a big batch of Motorola smartphone announcements in the very near future. How much of it will be genuinely new and exciting remains to be seen.
