Jennifer Lawrence’s $2.9B Movies & More Included in Hulu Releases This Week

Jennifer Lawrence‘s blockbuster movies, including the four $2.9 billion+ Hunger Games installments, are part of Hulu’s thrilling lineup of new releases this week, April 13-19.

The Hunger Games franchise, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, is landing on Hulu on April 14, 2026. This gripping dystopian saga is based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novels.

It follows Katniss as she volunteers for a deadly game, sparks a revolution, and navigates love and trauma. Set in Panem, the series explores themes of inequality, surveillance, and rebellion. Katniss becomes the iconic Mockingjay, a symbol of resistance against tyranny.

Lawrence’s Hunger Games films, including The Hunger Games (2012), Catching Fire (2013), Mockingjay Part 1 (2014), and Mockingjay Part 2 (2015), collectively grossed $2.967 billion worldwide. When combined with The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023), the franchise’s total box office reaches an impressive $3.304 billion.

Meanwhile, horror fanatics are in for a treat as Shelby Oaks is releasing this week on Hulu on April 17. The chilling supernatural horror film is Chris Stuckmann’s directorial debut. It follows Mia (Camille Sullivan), who’s obsessed with finding her sister Riley (Sarah Durn), a YouTuber who vanished 12 years ago while exploring an abandoned town. The film masterfully blends found footage with traditional narrative, unraveling a dark and potentially demonic force behind the disappearance.
