Complete candidate list for all-out Gateshead local election

The complete list of candidates for the local council elections in Gateshead has been confirmed. Gateshead Council, alongside neighbouring local authorities, will see an ‘all-out’ election on 7 May. This means that all 66 seats are up for contention across 22 electoral wards.

The current make up of the council consists of 46 Labour councillors, 18 Liberal Democrats, and two independents.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Monday 20 April. Residents can register online.
