2025 Daniel Radcliffe Movie With 95% RT Score Hits Netflix Today

The live filmed version of Daniel Radcliffe‘s award-winning Broadway musical has just been added to Netflix’s movie library. As of today, Sony Pictures Classics’ 2025 movie Merrily We Roll Along is now finally available to stream on Netflix. The Harry Potter star’s version was a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s iconic musical, based on George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart’s 1939 play of the same name.

What do we know about Daniel Radcliffe’s Merrily We Roll Along movie?

Merrily We Roll Along movie was filmed during the musical’s 2023-2024 Broadway production. Besides Radcliffe, the revival was also led by Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez. For leading performances, Radcliffe and Groff each won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor and Best Actor, respectively. As for Mendez, she received a Best Feature Actress nomination at the 2024 Tony Awards. Since the live stage recording’s theatrical debut in 2025, it has garnered a Certified Fresh score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 59 reviews.

“Spanning three decades, Merrily We Roll Along charts the turbulent relationship between composer Franklin Shepard and his two lifelong friends — writer Mary and lyricist & playwright Charley,” reads the official synopsis. “Originally produced on Broadway in 1981, then becoming an inventive cult-classic ahead of its time, the musical features some of Stephen Sondheim’s most celebrated and personal songs.”

Maria Friedman directed the 2023-2024 Broadway production of Merrily We Roll Along, which redefined the show for a new era, bringing Stephen Sondheim’s intricate score and George Furth’s book to vivid life with extraordinary depth and clarity. The ensemble cast also included Krystal Joy Brown, Katie Rose Clark, and Reg Rogers. It also won the prestigious Tony Award and Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.

It was produced by Sonia Friedman, David Babani, Patrick Catullo, F. Richard Pappas, RadicalMedia’s Jon Kamen, and Dave Sirulnick, with Meredith Bennett, No Guarantees Productions, Scott Abrams, Jonathan Corr, Mary Maggio, Jeff Romley, Tony Yurgaitis, Andrew Cohen, Amanda Lipitz, Henry Tisch, and Stephanie P. McClelland. Currently, Richard Linklater is directing a 20-year-long production of the Merrily We Roll Along movie, which began filming in 2019. The film adaptation will be led by Paul Mescal, Ben Platt, and Beanie Feldstein.
