Five big nam players that could leave the Premier League this summer

The Premier League will feel it is the current go-to destination for top footballers in Europe but this summer could see several big names leave the division.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has already announced that he will leave Liverpool in the summer. An agreement has been reached between the Reds and Salah to conclude his contract early, allowing the Egyptian to leave as a free agent at the end of the campaign.

Salah will leaveLiverpool recognised among the club’s greatest-ever players. He is the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all time and has broken countless records during a decorated Premier League career.

Now feels the right time for the 33-year-old to move on, following a decline in output and fall from favour under Arne Slot.

Saudi Pro League sides will push hard to sign Salah in the summer, while there’s sure to be rival interest from MLS and Europe. Salah’s singleminded ambition means he may feel he still has time remaining at the top level.

Enzo Fernandez

The noise aroundEnzo Fernandez and a transfer refuses to go away.

The Argentine has done little to silence the speculation, with cryptic answers around his future plans and therecent revelation of a desire to live in Spain.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in the 25-year-old as part of their midfield rebuild.Chelsea, currently, face a fight for Champions League qualification and the absence of involvement could see Fernandez push for an exit.

Rodri

Another name on Real Madrid’s radar who hasnot been afraid to express mutual interest.

Speaking to Spanish radio stationOnda Cero, Rodri recently opened the door for a La Liga return and said previous allegiances to Atletico Madrid would not prevent a transfer to their city rivals.

“I’d like to return, yes, obviously. For me, La Liga is where I started. I still follow it, it’s true not as much as before, but I still follow it.”

Asked about the potential of joining Real Madrid as an ex-Atletico player, Rodri added: “There have been many players who have gone down that path, right? And especially not directly, but over time.

“I mean, for me, you can’t turn down the best clubs in the world. They have a fanbase that really goes all out for them, and for me, the Bernabeu is always incredible, a stadium that’s very imposing.”

The Ballon d’Or winner will enter the final season of his City contract this summer.

Cristian Romero

Cristian Romero is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season, regardless of which division the club find themselves in.

Romero has become frustrated with the club’s hierarchy, publicly criticising the lack of investment after a second straight season battling near the bottom of the Premier League. Romero’s preference is for a transfer to La Liga, with each of Spain’s big three linked.

Sandro Tonali

Sandro Tonali has been in the headlines of late following enquiries about the Newcastle midfielder’s availability in January.

Arsenal, Manchester United andManchester City are each monitoring the Italy international ahead of potential summer moves.

However, Tonali is understood to be leaning towards a return to Serie A. Juventus appreciate the 25-year-old, but it remains to be seen whether the Bianconeri can finance such a deal. Newcastle value the box-to-box influence of Tonali at around £100m.
