La Liga giants Barcelona have identified a favourite to stay put as one of the club’s centre-forward options for next season.
That’s according to ESPN, who highlight Robert Lewandowski as the preferred candidate.

Barcelona are of course widely expected to bring in reinforcements up top this summer, eyeing a new first-choice striker for Hansi Flick.
One of Robert Lewandowski or Ferran Torres, though, will be needed to act as a backup.
And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the former appears to be the frontrunner for this role as things stand.
As per a report from ESPN:
‘Torres is out of contract in 2027 and the club would prefer to move him on than Robert Lewandowski, given this is the last summer they can obtain a fee for the Spain international, to raise money to invest in signings.’
Joan Laporta, it is added, is keen to renew the expiring contract terms of Lewandowski at the earliest opportunity.
