Barcelona sporting director Deco this weekend held a round of talks with the representatives of Real Sociedad star Álex Remiro.
This comes amid the understanding that the goalkeeper has been earmarked as a transfer target on the part of the Blaugrana.

Though the addition of a new shot-stopper is not considered a priority by the Camp Nou brass ahead of the summer, market opportunities are constantly being monitored.
And this is where the name of the aforementioned Remiro enters the picture.
The 30-year-old currently acts as the undisputed no.1 at Real Sociedad, considered one of the standout goalkeepers in all of La Liga.
In a major source of concern for those behind the scenes at Anoeta, however, Remiro’s contract terms are due to expire in the summer of 2027.
With Wojciech Szczęsny aging and Marc-André ter Stegen’s future up in the air, Barcelona are therefore considering a cut-price swoop for Remiro over the months ahead.

So much so that, as per a report from Blaugrana expert Carlos Monfort of Diario Sport:
‘Deco has met in the last few hours with Álex Remiro’s entourage to find out about his contractual situation and analyse the fit of his possible signing.’
