As of December 2023, The Eminence in Shadow hasn’t been officially greenlit for Season 3. Instead, an anime film was announced just as a second season drew to a close. Not much is known about the project except that its title is “The Eminence in Shadow – Lost Echoes.” Given that the second season covers about halfway into the fourth volume of the light novel series, it’s possible that the film can adapt the rest of volume 4 and beyond or it can be an original story.
