The fourth-annual Celebrity Pie Smash to be held at Barrel & Beam for Spread Goodness Day

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – This Friday, the fourth annual Celebrity Pie Smash for Spread Goodness Day will be held at Barrel & Beam, co-hosted by Peace Pie Company.

Local Marquette County celebrities will line-up, and for five dollars, guests can throw a pie at their face. Guests can also pay five dollars to block a pie from hitting a celebrity, and re-direct it towards another. Funds from the pie throwing will go towards the Upper Peninsula Suicide Survivors Fund.

Spread Goodness Day Board Member Hanna Westra says it is important to spread kindness in today’s world, especially with many on-going conflicts and tragedies currently happening. Westra says she has a challenge for adults for Spread Goodness Day.

“Don’t just put the pressure on the youth to spread goodness, you have to spread goodness too,” Westra said. “That can be easy. It can be checking in on a neighbor, it can be picking up the phone and calling a friend.”

More information on the event can be found on Celebrity Pie Smash Facebook Page.
