適逢寶可夢系列 30 週年，日本 Pokémon Center 寶可夢中心推出 2 款原創皮卡丘玩偶，陸續在 Pokémon Center ONLINE 線上購物與日本各地的寶可夢中心實體商店開賣。

首先登場的是「初代皮卡丘」，靈感來自《寶可夢紅／綠》（Pokémon Red Version / Green Version）遊戲，由於早期 Game Boy 遊戲機能顯示的顏色不多，所以這款玩偶也仿造當時的灰綠的顏色。而且不只像素感，連樣貌都都是最初胖胖短短的圓潤形象。

「初代皮卡丘」有標準玩偶售 JP¥ 3300，以及吉祥物掛飾售 JP¥ 880。日本時間 2 月 28 日 10:00 起於 Pokémon Center ONLINE 線上購物開賣，日本寶可夢中心實體店鋪也會在當天上架販售。
