Flat-out chic.
Katie Holmes stepped out in sunny San Diego on Monday cradling a floral bouquet, the vision of a New Yorker who escaped the snow. Strolling the streets in her signature laid-back off-duty style, the A-lister wore her hair held back with a pale blue bandana, which she paired with a rosy T-shirt and a white Dôen Sebastiane Broderie Skirt.
However, her stylish flats immediately caught my attention, since they are the very same shoes I’ve been wearing on repeat since scoring them, the new Vivaia Margot 3.0 flats.

An upgraded version of the bestselling style, the new Margot 3.0 has more cushioning and arch support, and a slightly wider toe for maximum comfort. Yet, they retain the best features of the original, like recycled materials, a non-slip rubber tread and carbon insoles for fresh-smelling shoes (though they are machine washable, too!).

Its sister shoe, the Margot Mary Jane, also got the new upgrade; both are offered in a handful of gorgeous colors, including Holmes’ yellow apricot quilt option and my own, ruby red (which is bringing a pop of color to all my ‘fits).

While it’s not the first time the “Dawson’s Creek” star has worn the brand, Vivaia’s other famous fans include Julia Roberts, Selena Gomez, Oprah and Alexa Chung, just to name a few.
Brand devotees are already raving about the upgraded styles that have near-perfect ratings, with one writing, “Style, comfort, and price. [A] triple win.”

Personally, I’ve been wearing the Margot 3.0 mostly indoors since two feet of snow dropped in the New York City area; however, I find them a delightful style that’s sure to get a lot of wear this spring.

They did require a few hours of break-in, but quickly molded to my feet, and I like the style so much that I’m eyeing the Mary Jane version next. I have a few pairs of shoes from the brand, including the satin Sneakerinas and booties, and they elevate any style, from skirts to jeans, while being comfortable enough for all-day wear.
Since Katie Holmes wore them, expect them to fly off shelves — so grab yours while you can!
