Celebrities We Want To See At THON

Many popular faces could show up at THON throughout the weekend. The popularity could potentially gain more attention for the event, but who specifically would make sense to show up?

Not all celebrities would necessarily fit, and the idea isn’t to take attention away from the stage either, so the choices would have to resonate with THON.

Pat McAfee

McAfee is one of the biggest faces for college sports. He’s a part of ESPN’s College Game Day, showing up at a new school every week to embrace culture.

He further donates money to a college student who can make a field goal, which he normally attempts to give multiple attempts or special ways for students to win money. The amount he donates is typically hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If willing to donate that money to students, why not the biggest student-run philanthropy in the world? He also has great energy and brings light to a room, fitting for THON.

Saquon Barkley and Micah Parsons

The two biggest football names in recent Penn State history would be a great addition to THON.

It could be expected that they’d send a quick cameo, but it would be awesome for Penn State representation to show up to the event in person. Many kids look up to athletes, and their impact on the school has been massive.

Both have seen great success in the NFL, but still carry so much love in State College.

Keegan-Michael Key

Following the trend of Penn State alums, Keegan-Michael Key would be great to have at THON. He’s got great humor, which fits the joy THON brings, plus the personal connection he brings is meaningful.

People who have experienced THON and understand the meaning could possibly better know how to get the crowd moving.

Adele

Truly, who doesn’t appreciate Adel’s inspiration? She has a powerful voice and truly tries to connect with audiences.

THON having someone as kind as her fits the environment.

Jason Mamoa

A superhero for the kids. Jason Momoa is famously known for being Aquaman in the DC movies.

Having an actor who is popularized as a superhero could potentially be fun for kids at THON. Mamoa is another joyful personality who would be great around kids.

Taylor Swift

The Pennsylvania native could gain some attention for the event. She has a sweet personality and, as many know, has a massive fan base.

Participants in THON could possibly love seeing someone as big as her supporting a school from her home state.

Celebrities are highly anticipated, but some more than others fit the culture of THON a little more than others. Many more would be great fits, but as a cultural aspect, this list would give THON great support.
