Following early reviews, Season 2 of Prime Video’s crime thriller Cross has debuted to a largely positive critical response, showing a significant improvement in its Rotten Tomatoes score. The new season continues the story of detective Alex Cross with deeper character arcs, heightened tension, and a more intricate narrative structure.

Nick Bythrow (ScreenRant) rated it 7/10, calling it ā€œa strong continuation of Prime Video’s best new crime thriller series.ā€ Jasmine Blu (TV Fanatic) gave it 4.3/5 and stated, ā€œCross is a series that always has something to say, but with Cross Season 2, they’re doubling down on that.ā€

Joel Keller (Decider) noted the returning dynamic, saying, ā€œThe second season of Cross still has a lot of charm, especially in the relationship between Cross and Sampson.ā€ Jonathon Wilson (Ready Steady Cut) wrote, ā€œIf you liked Season 1, you’ll like this as well,ā€ assigning it 3.5/5. Cross Season 2 gets amazing score on Rotten Tomatoes

Cross Season 2 has a 90% Tomatometer score based on 10 critic reviews. This marks an increase over Season 1, which holds a 76% score from 42 critics. The show’s overall average score across both seasons now stands at 83%.

There is no audience score yet for Season 2, as fewer than 50 viewer ratings have been submitted. The audience score for Season 1 remains at 64% from over 500 ratings. As of February 2026, the Rotten Tomatoes listing shows Cross with an 83% average Tomatometer and 64% audience average.
