Celebrities at the 2026 DGA Awards

Here is a look at the notable celebrities who attended the 2026 Directors Guild of America Awards, which took place on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.

Caplet Seals The Deal

Ginnifer Goodwin was easily my favourite of the night, wearing a fuchsia pink Simkhai Briella column dress. I know some of you probably assumed this was Prada at first glance, thanks to the clean silhouette and crystal embellishments, and I see it too. What I love about this Simkhai dress is how the caplet detail ultimately elevates the look by amplifying the elegance.

Quietly Confident Prada

Eva Victor kept things refreshingly simple in a Prada Spring 2026 black look, where the silhouette and pleated skirt ensured this did not fade into the background. Minimal on paper, but considered in execution, this is a reminder that pared-back dressing always works when the proportions are right.

A Note Worth Repeating

It was genuinely refreshing to see Kate Hudson try something different in this Erdem Pre-Fall 2026 dress, and for once, it really works. She has been experimenting with her style since the Sing Sing Blue press tour, but those looks rarely landed. This navy embellished dress finally hits the right note, offering elegance and glamour without trying too hard.

Out Of Step

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: sometimes Kerry Washington’s style completely baffles me, and this is one of those occasions. Wear what you want, by all means, but this Elie Saab Spring 2026 dress feels dated and wildly out of tune with the event. Methinks she stepped into her stylist’s studio and saw this on Heidi Klum’s rail. It’s such a Heidi Klum dress, hence why I don’t like it.

A Dart Too Far?

And finally, a question for the seamstresses and sewists in the room: can we talk about Olivia Wilde’s custom Prada leather dress? Did it need the darts? The top half simply doesn’t sit right in any of the photos, and I can’t help wondering if the darts are to blame. Then again, we all know how much Miuccia Prada loves a dart detail.

March 15, 2026, 5:46 p.m. ET Before duking it out for gold, Sunday’s Oscars attendees have likely already faced “One Battle After Another“: finding that perfect dress, tuxedo or ensemble in between, dodging the prickly pins of tailors in fittings, and sitting, sometimes hours for perfectly coiffed hair and flawless makeup. And after a team

Why Donald Trump is losing the war at home

No US president in living memory has gone to war with less public support than Donald Trump has for the war in Iran. Even Barack Obama’s much-maligned Libyan intervention began with 60% of Americans in support in 2011. There is no poll that shows a majority of Americans supporting the Iran war, and multiple polls
