Valencia & Girona want to sign Brighton star this month

Two La Liga clubs have set sights on the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion star Diego Coppola.

This comes amid the Italian’s ongoing struggles for game-time on England’s south coast.

Defender Coppola for his part made the move to Brighton last summer, from Serie A outfit Hellas Verona.

The 22-year-old arrived in the Premier League with a fine reputation, considered a potential future star in the making.

Safe to say, however, that Coppola has since struggled to showcase precisely why. In fact, across the campaign to date, the Italian international has secured for himself just two Premier League starts.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Coppola, this weekend, being linked with an upcoming move away from the AMEX.

As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto, amid a search for winter reinforcements at the back:

‘Girona and Valencia have requested the loan of Diego Coppola from Brighton.’
