New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

The new TV and movie releases on Paramount+ for January 12-18, 2026, include Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and Peppa Pig Season 10.

Peppa Pig Season 10 drops on Paramount+ on January 14, 2026. Created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker, this British preschool animated show follows the eponymous protagonist. She is an energetic piglet living with her parents and younger brother, George. In the show, Peppa engages in all sorts of fun activities with her friends. John Sparkes narrated the series, which includes a voice cast consisting of Harley Bird, Morwenna Banks, Richard Ridings, and Alice May, among many others.

Next, on January 15, 2026, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy flies into Paramount+. Set in the 32nd century, the show follows young Starfleet cadets, brimming with hope and optimism, training to become Starfleet officers. Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, Karim Diane, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard, Zoë Steiner, Robert Picardo, and Tig Notaro make up the core cast.

Also dropping on Paramount+ this week is Bar Rescue Season 9. The latest installment of the reality series originally aired on Paramount Network between February 25, 2024, and June 29, 2025.

Created by Darrin Reed, Bar Rescue revolves around Jon Taffer, a veteran food and beverage industry consultant who specializes in nightclubs, bars, and pubs. In each episode, Taffer, using his expertise and knowledge, helps struggling businesses improve considerably and prevent them from closing. Notably, this series spawned a spin-off called Marriage Rescue. Presented by Taffer, the series sees him helping couples who are struggling with their relationships.
