A source has revealed that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are “really mad” over a recent $3 million lawsuit. The said complaint alleged that Jada had threatened the petitioner during a confrontation in September 2021, saying that he would “end up missing.”

An industry insider has revealed that the Hancock star and his wife are taking legal action against Bilaal Salaam, who filed $3 million lawsuit against Jada.
“They are really mad and say it’s a lot of crap,” the source revealed to PEOPLE. They further described Salaam as “an opportunistic person out to exploit them.” The source also alleged the complaint is “a money ploy to get what they can out of them.” They added, “Naturally, both of them dislike people around them talking out of school.”
Salaam’s complaint refers to a confrontation between him and Jada Pinkett Smith that allegedly happened at the Regency Calabasas Commons in September 2021. As per the lawsuit, she approached him with “approximately seven members of her entourage” and threatened him. Moreover, the Scream 2 actress allegedly said that he would “end up missing or catch a bullet” if he didn’t stop “telling her personal business.”
In his complaint, Salaam further claimed Jada “demanded” that he sign an NDA and threatened him with “or else.” She then followed him to his car, “while continuing to issue verbal threats.” Additionally, Salaam alleged that he became the victim of a “retaliatory campaign” by the couple and their friends.
Another source claimed to the outlet, “Bilaal has been close to Will for many years. But sometime along the way became a blabbermouth, which has upset both Will and Jada. Like any other high-profile people, they don’t want to hear about their lives in the public arena. Especially in a controversial way.” The source also claimed that the lawsuit “was tailored to produce some money to make it go away.”
This is not the first time Bilal Salaam has claimed something regarding the Smiths. On the Unwine with Tasha K podcast in November 2023, he alleged that he walked in on Will Smith and Duane Martin engaging in sexual acts.
Later, Will’s spokesperson issued a statement, saying, “This story is completely fabricated, and the claim is unequivocally false.” Meanwhile, Jada, who appeared on The Breakfast Club podcast around the same time, also turned down the rumors. She said, “Let me just say this: It’s ridiculous, right? And it’s nonsense.”
As of writing, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have yet to officially comment on the lawsuit.
