During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) Season 15 premiere, Rachel Zoe got candid about her “strained” relationship with her ex-husband, Rodger Berman. Moreover, she even shared unexpected details involving fellow cast member Kyle Richards’ ex-husband, Mauricio Umansky.
Rachel Zoe says her sons already knew about her former husband’s girlfriend
The 54-year-old fashion designer is one of the latest additions to RHOBH’s Season 15. During the premiere episode, she reflected on her split from Rodger Berman and its effect on their children.
Rachel Zoe specifically discussed the impact of Berman, 57, moving on quickly after their marriage. She revealed that he “had the same girl for a year,” adding that their sons, Skyler and Kaius, have been aware of the relationship for “probably 10 months.” When pointed out that Berman started dating soon after their separation, she responded, “I’ll let you do the math.” (via PEOPLE)
The Rachel Zoe Project star then described her kids’ relationship with their father as “tricky,” as he juggles his time between them and his girlfriend. “I think that they wonder why he sometimes does or says things he says, why he acts the way he does, why there’s time spent with his girlfriend versus his kids,” she said.
Furthermore, Zoe admitted that although she’s trying to see Berman “as a friend,” they’re “not there yet.” She shared that after 26 years of marriage, they ultimately “outgrew each other” when they “became very different people.”
Zoe added that “working together” was likely one of the main reasons for their “strained” relationship. “Lines got crossed. Ultimately, that person didn’t feel right around me or my kids,” she elaborated.
On the same episode, Rachel Zoe also revealed shocking news about her co-star Kyle Richards’ husband, Mauricio Umansky. During her conversation with Richards, the Bravo alumna said, “Kyle, I saw [Mauricio] in Aspen. Someone tried to set me up with him.” She continued, “Three people in one night at one event. And I was like, ‘That’s Kyle’s ex-husband, are you mental?’ Like no.” (via The Independent)
The revelation caught everyone in the room by surprise. Later in a confessional, Bozoma Saint John, a fellow cast member, said, “Is there anybody left in Beverly Hills that Mo hasn’t tried to get with? He hasn’t tried to get with me. Let’s just make that clear.”
