Brooke and Donna argue
Donna doesn’t like the way Eric was treated at the company, but Brooke argues that whatever is decided is a matter between Ridge and Eric. Brooke then tries to belittle Donna by asking whether she even enjoys her time with Eric. Despite Brooke’s manipulative tone, Donna clarifies that she loves spending time with Eric, but she can’t ignore the fact that he’ll be a designer until his last breath.
Taylor makes Deacon doubt
Deke informs Sheila and Deacon that he’s still on trial at Hope’s company, but they reassure him that everything will be fine. Deacon then heads out to attend a session with Taylor. There, Taylor admits she likes studying Deacon’s psyche, and they begin the session. Deacon thanks her for helping him feel more confident in his marriage. Taylor is pleased to hear that and wonders whether his kids will ever accept Sheila. Meanwhile, Sheila tries to get to know Deke and mend their strained relationship.
Sheila tries to sort things out with Deke
Sheila attempts to get to know Deke better and is well aware that he doesn’t like her. Deke wonders why people who claim to have changed keep reappearing in his life. Sheila reveals that all she wants is a peaceful life with Deacon. She also hopes to make things right with the kids and expresses excitement about attending Hope’s wedding. She sees it as an opportunity to show the world that everything is good in the family. Meanwhile, Deacon tells Taylor that he’s unsure if his kids will ever forgive Sheila or if she’ll even be invited to Hope’s wedding.
Eric walks away
Ridge and Brooke both recap their conversations with Eric and Donna, respectively. Ridge is desperate for his father to retire, as he wants to protect him from stress. Eric then thinks, “Out with the old, in with the new. The company I founded… time for me to leave?” He mentions that he doesn’t want to step away. He takes out a photo of himself and Stephanie, questioning whether they are really trying to remove him from the company.
