When is the Platonic Season 2 release date?
Platonic Season 2 is officially scheduled to streaming on August 6 with the first two episodes. It will then be followed by one episode weekly release until October 1, 2025. This comes after Apple TV+ recently gave Rogen’s newest comedy series The Studio a second season renewal.
The series is created, written, and directed by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. In addition to starring, Rogen and Byrne are also set to serve as executive producers. Season 2 will also feature Luke Macfarlane (Bros), Tre Hale, and Carla Gallo (Neighbors films), along with new cast members Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett. It is a production by Sony Pictures Television, where Stoller’s production company, Stoller Global Solutions, has an overall deal.
“The 10-episode comedy follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching who reconnect after a long rift,” reads the show’s synopsis. “The duo’s friendship becomes all-consuming and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.”
