在中美貿易戰影響下,他指,對全球經濟而言沒有贏家,大家都輸,但是從過去香港電訊及電訊盈科過去5至10年的回報、股價及派息合計,兩家上市公司均跑贏大市及恒生指數。他又重申在不久前於香港電訊的股東大會上提過,香港、國家的經濟在過去10年有不少挑戰,當中包括2006年之後全球經濟大調整、沙士及新冠疫情,香港電訊及電盈的派息及盈利並沒有受到太大影響。

他亦回應股東指,留意到香港政府推動盛事經濟並不遺餘力,集團會鼎力支持,在Coldplay的表演,集團有派藝員及同事一同表演,在其他環節,集團也會支持盛事。從現時至今年底都有不同盛事上演,他已經與同事商量,積極參與。

在大會舉行前,他向股東指出,香港總體經濟平穩,在貿易戰及市民消費模式轉變下,面臨不少挑戰,電盈以多元化業務,滿足大眾的需要。他指出,集團的視頻平台Viu在東南亞市場,除提供韓劇之外,亦增加內地劇集去迎合觀眾口味,加上東南亞本地製作節目,集團亦製作國際級劇集,以香港為背景,冀推廣香港的文化。

至於免費電視Viu TV方面,李澤楷稱,正致力突破傳統框架,尋求創新及新製作,連繫年輕觀眾,並作更廣領域交流。繼此前與泰國的電視台合作,Viu今年會與日本及馬來亞的電視台合作,推廣香港的音樂及街舞文化,推動香港成為國際文化交流中心。

旗下香港電訊(6823),他稱,隨著科技應用愈來愈廣,集團推動2500m寬頻服務,首季錄得按年增長170%;在推動800G廣域解決方案,更料有助幫助不同機構提升其超算功能。該公司的5G服務至今已有近183萬名客戶,佔在港後付客戶市場的53%;漫遊服務的需求保持強勁增長,今年首季漫遊服務更按年增長51%。

在擴闊集團的Now TV內容方面,他說,集團已經增加熊貓頻道及跟進香港運動員的頻道服務,首季業務已經比去年同期有17%增長。展望未來,李澤楷稱,香港電訊會繼續以穩健的財務狀況支持,通過香港的綜合平台,助力香港盛事之都的地位。
