Deals: Moto Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra go on pre-order, iPhone 16 series is £100 off

Motorola unveiled its next generation foldables earlier this week – they are the first Razrs with dust resistance (IP48 rating), which is very rare in the foldable segment. Motorola also used a proper flagship chip for the Ultra, while also improving the screen, cameras and battery.

The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (no “s” chip this time) and a 4,700mAh battery with 68W wired and 30W wireless charging. It has three 50MP cameras: 50MP main (1/1.56”, OIS, 8K @ 30fps), 50MP ultra-wide (instead of 2x tele) and 50MP selfie camera inside. The inner display is now 7” and boosts to 4,000 nits, while the cover display is 4”. Check out our review for more details.

The 2025 Ultra comes out the Monday two weeks from now, so in the meantime, check out last year’s Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. It uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which is still plenty fast. The inner display has lower resolution (1080p+ vs. 1224p+) and peak brightness (3,000 nits). The battery is smaller and slower too (4,000mAh, 45W wired and 15W wireless charging). Still, the 2024 Ultra is a capable flip foldable that’s over £300 cheaper than the new model.

But perhaps it’s better to compare it with the Motorola Razr 60. This model is also rated IP48, so that’s one over the Razr 50 Ultra. Also, it has a larger 4,500mAh battery (30W/15W charging). While it costs around the same as the year-old flagship, it loses to it in just about every aspect – the Dimensity 7400X in particular is a concern as that’s an entry-level/mid-range chip.

We don’t see this often, but all current iPhone models, save for the new 16e, are £100 off at Amazon.

This means that the vanilla iPhone 16 starts at £700 for a 128GB unit, while the iPhone 16 Plus is £137 more. We have detailed comparisons to help you pick the right model: iPhone 16 vs. 15, iPhone 16 vs. 16 Plus and iPhone 16 vs. 16 Pro.

With the above comparisons in mind, here are the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, which cost £100 less than the respective 16-series models (which is worth one storage upgrade).

Then there are the two Pro models, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Naturally, we have relevant comparison articles for those too: iPhone 16 Pro vs. 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro vs. 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max vs. 15 Pro Max. The two 15 Pro models are no longer available (aside from, maybe, leftover stock in some stores), but it’s a good reference for those looking to upgrade.
