Massimiliano Allegri leading race to become the next Roma manager

A host of Serie A sides will be looking to bring in new managers next season and Roma are one. But as things stand, Massimiliano Allegri is a leading candidate to become their next manager.

Daniele Longo has reported that current manager Claudio Ranieri already has multiples names in mind for who could be the next Roma manager.

For him, Allegri is the dream manager for the GIallorossi as Ranieri wants to make sure that the club win things and the belief that the ex-Juventus boss can help in doing just that.

Contact between Roma and Allegri has already taken place in the last few days and the Italian is a strong candidate right now. There is competition from Milan and Roma know that, as they are trying to move quickly.

Stefano Pioli is the alternative to Allegri and he would welcome a move to Roma, having managed Lazio in the past.
