Conceiçao doesn’t guarantee more playing time to Tomori but has Walker ‘hope’

Milan coach Sergio Conceiçao doesn’t guarantee more playing time to Fikayo Tomori but insists Kyle Walker has been ‘fantastic’ and hopes the ex-Man City defender ‘continues like this until the end.’

Conceiçao previewed a Serie A match between Napoli and Milan during a pre-match press conference on Saturday.

During his meeting with the media, Conceiçao also spoke about three English players in the Rossoneri squad: Walker, Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

“Walker is part of the group and he’s settled in well,” Conceiçao said via Milannews.

“He has a lot of experience, on and off the pitch. He has done everything he’s been asked. He is a fantastic professional and I hope he continues like this until the end.”

Loftus-Cheek has recently returned to action after a lengthy injury.

“He can play in more than one position,” argued Conceiçao.

“He is an important player with impressive numbers from last season. He can play as an attacking midfielder or box-to-box, depending on the strategy and his condition.”

On the other hand, Tomori has been struggling for playing time, but his coach did not guarantee him more playing time.

“It depends on the form. I have great confidence in all our central defenders,” Conceiçao concluded.

Milan currently sit 9th in the Serie A table, six points below fourth-placed Bologna.

During his pre-match press conference, Conceiçao insisted that he didn’t need reassurances on his future at the club.

Conceiçao has signed a contract until June 2026, but the Rossoneri can terminate the agreement at the end of the season.
