Disney released the long-awaited Freakier Friday teaser trailer this week, and fans were quick to celebrate, with reactions praising the nostalgia-inducing return of Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.

“In the film, Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice,” reads the official synopsis.
Freakier Friday is directed by Nisha Ganatra (Late Night) from a screenplay written by Jordan Weiss, based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name.
Taking place years after the events of the original, the sequel will also introduce new cast members Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Sophia Hammons (Up Here), Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever), and Julia Butters (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Fabelmans).
The film is produced by Curtis, Andrew Gunn and Kristin Burr, with Lohan, Nathan Kelly, and Ann Marie Sanderlin serving as executive producers.
