The prices of Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra could remain the same

We’ve been hearing murmurs that the Galaxy S25 series will be more expensive than the outgoing 2024 generation. However, a new report contradicts that, saying that prices will remain the same. Note that the conflicting reports could all be true – different regions can see the prices change or not.

Speculative renders: Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra

As far as Northern Europe is concerned, it seems that the prices for the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra will launch at the same price points as their S24 counterparts. Sources have cited the prices in Sweden in particular, so let’s have a look at what they were. We’ll also include the prices for Germany as the Swedish prices are in krona.

Storage Swedish price German price
Samsung Galaxy S24 128GB SEK 11,490 EUR 899
Samsung Galaxy S24+ 256GB SEK 14,490 EUR 1,149
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB SEK 17,990 EUR 1,449

If this report is true, you can replace “S24” with “S25” in the table above and those will be the prices. Of course, Samsung will have a launch promo, which is traditionally a free storage upgrade, so at least early on, the prices above will be for the 256GB S25 and 512GB S25+ and S25 Ultra.

So, that’s good news. The Galaxy S25 series is not bringing massive upgrades – other than the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is a huge step up from the Exynos 2400 that Europeans got in their S24 and S24+ phones – but there are a number of important minor upgrades too. For example, the small S-phone will finally get 12GB of RAM (but base storage will still be 128GB), the two bigger models could get 16GB in some configurations. The S25 Ultra is getting a new 50MP ultra-wide camera, the other cameras will be essentially unchanged. The battery and charging options won’t see any major shifts, unless the rumor of Qi2 wireless charging support pans out.
