The Innovation & Technology Commission is inviting applications to the 2023-24 Guangdong-Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Funding Scheme until January 12.
Â
The commission explained that the scheme enables diverse and high-quality research and development (R&D) projects to be undertaken in Guangdong and Hong Kong, thereby advancing R&D collaboration in the Greater Bay Area and facilitating the development of Hong Kong into an international innovation and technology hub.Â
Â
There are three categories of projects under the scheme.
Â
The first covers projects funded by the Innovation & Technology Fund, while the second involves those funded by relevant Mainland authorities.
Â
The third category refers to projects jointly funded by the Guangdong and Hong Kong governments or the Shenzhen and Hong Kong governments.
Â
As at the end of August, 379 projects had been approved under the scheme, involving total funding of over $1Â billion.
