Wan Chai’s Blue House lights up with over 600 lanterns for Mid-Autumn Festival

Back by popular demand, Wan Chai’s beloved Blue House is set to light up the night with over 600 lanterns – hand-painted by residents, neighbours, local illustrators, and even Hong Kong athletes – to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. These glowing beauties will dazzle every evening from 6pm to 10pm from now to October 4, and be sure to keep an eye out for an adorable red rabbit woven by the community on display.

Blue House’s third annual lantern photography competition is also making a return with two new categories this year: pet-themed and short film. Capture your best shots from now until October 5 in the neighbourhoods of Blue House, Yellow House, Orange House, or Stone Nullah Lane. Winners will take home exclusive Blue House prizes, so don’t miss your chance! Just remember to check the competition rules here before submitting your entries.
